Is this tour solo-only, or can someone ride with me?
The 1-seater quad is a single-rider machine, so there’s no passenger seat. Travelers wanting to ride alongside a partner or child should look at the 2-Seater Quad or a dune buggy tour instead.
How tall do I need to be to reach the controls?
Beyond the 16+ age minimum, riders need to comfortably reach the handlebars, throttle, and brake levers while seated. Operators generally assess this on the day rather than publishing a fixed height figure, so shorter riders should mention it when booking.
Can I switch to a two-seater on the day if a companion wants to ride with me?
This depends on availability and is best requested in advance, since 1-seater and 2-seater quads are usually booked and priced as separate tour products.
Is there a weight limit for this quad?
Single-seat quads are generally rated for one rider up to around 100–120 kg, in line with the weight guidance used across Dubai’s off-road fleet. Let the operator know in advance if this could be a concern so they can confirm the right vehicle.
Morning or evening — which departure is better for a solo ride?
Morning tours are cooler and beat the midday heat, while evening departures end with a sunset over the dunes; some operators also run night rides under the stars. Both are equally safe, so it comes down to which desert light you’d rather ride through.
How long is the actual riding time?
The quad-biking segment itself typically runs about an hour, with the full outing — including the safety briefing and hotel transfers — closer to 3–4 hours depending on pickup location.
