A UTV—short for Utility Terrain Vehicle is a robust off-road vehicle designed for both utility  and recreation. It typically seats two or more people side-by-side, features a steering wheel and  foot pedals, and is enclosed in a protective roll-cage frame.

A UTV desert tour in Dubai delivers a thrilling and safe high-speed ride across sandy landscapes,  packaged with immersive experiences and memorable views. It’s perfect for solo thrill-seekers,  couples, families, or groups looking for an adventurous escape in style.

Will I ride a Polaris RZR or a Can-Am Maverick?

It depends on the operator’s fleet — most Dubai buggy operators run one or both. The Polaris RZR is generally the more forgiving, beginner-friendly choice for mixed-experience groups, while the Can-Am Maverick’s higher power-to-weight ratio makes it feel sportier on steep dune faces. Confirm which vehicle your specific tour uses when booking.

Every 2-seater buggy has a full roll cage, individual seatbelts for the driver and passenger, and a real accelerator/brake pedal setup rather than handlebars, it drives more like a small car than a quad.

The buggy generally feels smoother and more stable through the dunes thanks to its roll cage and suspension travel, while still delivering sharp climbs, descents, and occasional airtime on jumps.

Pregnant guests and anyone with back, neck, heart, or respiratory conditions, or recovering from a recent injury or surgery, are generally advised against this ride because of the jolts and sharp direction changes. Guests with concerns can usually still join the desert camp portion instead.

Individual riders are typically expected to stay under about 100–120 kg, and the vehicle itself carries a manufacturer payload limit — Polaris RZR models are generally rated for roughly 270 kg across all seats. Mention any concerns when booking so the operator can confirm fit.
