Premium & Overnight Desert Safari Dubai — Experience, Prices & Booking Tips (2026)

If you’re looking for a desert night that goes beyond a quick dune-bashing session — big buffet, live entertainment, and either a comfortable overnight camp stay or a full evening of shows — our Premium and Overnight Desert Safari packages are built exactly for that. This guide breaks down what’s included, what a night actually looks like hour by hour, what it costs, and who it’s best suited for.

What is the Premium / Overnight Desert Safari?

Our Premium and Overnight Desert Safari are the more elaborate options in our desert safari lineup — designed for travelers who want a full evening (or full overnight stay) rather than a short activity stop. Expect a generous buffet spread, a rotating lineup of live entertainment, and a relaxed, social camp atmosphere where the evening builds in stages rather than rushing through a checklist.

Where our shorter packages (like the 4 Hours Desert Safari or Evening Desert Safari) are built for guests on a tighter schedule, the Premium and Overnight options are designed for guests who want the complete desert night — dunes, dinner, shows, and stars. If you’d rather skip the 4×4 altogether, our Camel Trekking tour offers a slower, more traditional way to experience the dunes.

What's included

Standard packages typically include:

  • Complimentary hotel pickup and drop-off (Dubai, with pickup also available across Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah)
  • Dune bashing in a 4×4
  • Sandboarding
  • Camel photo stop
  • Buffet dinner with a variety of live stations
  • Live entertainment — tanoura dance, fire performance, belly dance, live traditional music
  • Henna painting
  • Shisha lounge access

Our Overnight package adds tent-style camp accommodation and breakfast the next morning.

A typical evening, hour by hour

4:00–4:30 PM — Pickup. We collect guests from their hotel in the mid-afternoon, timed so you reach the desert well before sunset. Prefer to start your day early instead? Our Morning Desert Safari covers the same dunes in daylight.

5:00–6:00 PM — Dune bashing. A roughly 45-minute 4×4 ride through the dunes, timed to finish around golden hour for the best sunset photos. Prefer sunrise light instead? Our Sunrise Desert Safari runs the same dune-bashing thrill at the opposite end of the day.

6:00–6:30 PM — Arrival at camp. Welcome drinks, henna stations open, and time to explore the camp — seating areas, photo spots, and the shisha lounge.

6:30–7:30 PM — Activities window. Sandboarding and camel photo stops run through this window as the sun finishes setting. Want more adrenaline before dinner? Add on a Dune Buggy Tour or Quad Bike Tour to your evening.

7:30–9:30 PM — Dinner and entertainment. The buffet opens with live cooking stations while entertainment rotates through the evening — tanoura, fire performance, live music, belly dance — building into a continuous show rather than one isolated act.

9:30–10:00 PM — Departure (Premium package). Guests on the evening-only package are transferred back to their hotels.

10:00 PM onward — Overnight guests. Those staying the night move to their tents as the camp quiets down. Breakfast follows the next morning before the return transfer.

Pricing (2026 estimates)

Package Price What you get
Evening Desert Safari AED 150 / person Dune bashing, dinner, entertainment, transfer
Premium Desert Safari AED 300 / person Dune bashing + quad, full buffet, full entertainment lineup
Overnight Desert Safari AED 400 / person Everything above + tent stay and breakfast
Corporate Desert Safari Custom rate Tailored for team-building, client entertainment, and group events

Rates tend to rise slightly during UAE winter (November–March), when desert safari demand peaks and camps book out a few days in advance. Summer brings lower rates but hotter daytime conditions, so evening and overnight slots stay the more comfortable choice year-round.

What the entertainment includes

  • Tanoura dance — a spinning folk dance in brightly colored, layered skirts, performed with live percussion
  • Fire performance — a staged fire show, usually the visual highlight of the night
  • Belly dance — performed live rather than pre-recorded
  • Live music — traditional oud and percussion playing through dinner

Best time to visit

November to March is peak season — cooler evenings, higher demand, book a few days ahead. Summer (June–September) is quieter and cheaper, though daytime heat makes evening and overnight slots the more practical pick regardless of season.

Who this is best for
  • Groups and families wanting a full, energetic evening
  • First-time desert safari visitors who want the complete experience in one package
  • Travelers who prioritize entertainment, dinner, and photo opportunities
  • Guests who’d rather have a longer, fuller evening than a short activity stop
What to pack
  • A light jacket — desert nights get cooler than expected even outside peak winter
  • Closed shoes for sandboarding and dune walking
  • A portable charger, since tent areas typically don’t have accessible outlets
  • Cash in small denominations for tipping camp staff and performers directly
  • A camera with decent low-light performance if you want to capture the fire show properly.

If you’re after something shorter and simpler, our 4 Hours Desert Safari or Evening Desert Safari may suit better. Planning a fuller Dubai itinerary? Pair your desert night with a Dubai City Tour, a Yacht Tour along the Marina, a sunset Dhow Cruise, or Jet Ski session to round out your trip.
